On February 24, let’s dare to speak up, loud and clear.

February 24, 2024 refers to the sinister second anniversary of the Russian Federation’s large-scale invasion of Ukraine, the climax of a war of aggression launched ten years ago. To mark the occasion, French associations, those which actually support Ukraine, have decided to launch a day of national mobilization. Here are a few ideas on how to communicate the event. Unless explicitly quoted, these remarks are the sole responsibility of the author.

Visit by the Ukrainian Ambassador to Nantes on 27 November 2023

Your Excellency,, if your visit were to take place under the conditions envisaged today, it is not out of the question that local Ukrainian associations would have to dissociate themselves from it regarding the public as well as the authorities of the Metropole and the General Council, in order to preserve the image and the interests of Ukraine and the local Ukrainian community. It is doubtful that this will be enough to contain the exasperation of activists and volunteers, shocked by what they see as a ‘maskirovka’. And yet, at a time when your country needs to mobilise all forces to repel the Russian genocidal invasion, we must avoid any bone of contention, as your enemy’s propaganda likes to sow among us.

Honorary Consul for Pays de la Loire, a choice detrimental to Ukraine

Today, the nepotism and cronyism of the Yanukovych’s era are no longer tolerated. Such practices, which not only flirt with corruption, are one of the main risks to the continuation of Western aid to Ukraine that desperately needs it. Moreover, in Ukraine, because of the dramatic human sacrifices made, the continuation of certain prevaricatory practices exasperates many activists, whether they are mobilised on the front line or actors of civil society.

Russian vessel Shtandart – Letter to Mrs. Elisabeth Borne, Prime Minister – Request for cancellation of the derogation from sanctions.

Despite the 5th package of European sanctions, the Russian ship Shtandart enters Spanish and French ports by displaying an anti-Putinism without any real meaning, by instrumentalizing humanitarian aid to the Ukrainian populations victims of the Russian war, by promoting Russian soft power, and by appealing to the generosity of the public for its own benefit. Oleh Sentsov and Roman Suschenko, as well as about thirty Ukrainian organizations, ask Elizabeth Borne, Prime Minister of France, to put an end to this unjustifiable preferential treatment.

Sorry, Captain Martus, the « Shtandart » frigate is not an anti-putin ship.

Not pleased enough with enjoying a complacent and unsceptical media coverage, Vladimir Martus, the captain of the russian frigate, « Shtandart », would like to give some substance to the tale he is promoting. He wants to be co-opted into the circle of anti-putin activists engaged in tangible actions for many years. This infiltration and instrumentation attempt, like the one that was carried out with the association « Aidons l’Ukraine 17 », is not accepted and faces a strong clarification.

Answer to Vladimir Martus, Captain of the Russian Frigate Shtantard

On June 15, 2022, Vladimir Martus, Captain of a Russian frigate posted a comment under the article detailing the numerous issues raised by the frequent presence of his ship in the French harbour of La Rochelle. Here below is the answer made to him. It is reminded, that, because of the Russian war in Ukraine, showing off such a flag is an outrage to humanity, regardless any sincere or fabricated speech. A solution is proposed to him, taking into account his personal interest and the one of his ship.

Everything opposes Ukrainian culture and « Russian culture »

In order to get out of a deadly multi-centennial scheme, brought to its paroxysm since February 24, 2022, Ukrainian culture cannot and must not coexist with Russian culture, in the same space and during the same event. It is a basic prophylaxis.

Facing allegations of plagiarism from a Pakistani cyberstalker

An article I have written, on Medium, in March 2020 about how western vloggers misrepresent Pakistan is challenged by the Pakistani cyberstalker Ramla Akhtar, aka Rama Aalam, on Twitter. She says my publication would be a plagiarism. Actually, the text of my article and its documents are original ones resulting from my researches and from my personal writings. As far as the subject of the article is concerned, it is not an “idea” invented by Ramla Aakhtar claiming her own « property » on February 2020. It is a hot topic from years before. My article is a detailed contribution but it never pretended having created the concept under review.
