For the summer of 2025, the russian propaganda ship Shtandart is selling illegal cruises to various destinations, including Spain. The ship’s captain and hidden owner, Vladimir Martus, has nothing but contempt for the regulations, court rulings, authorities and institutions of the countries he visits.

En 2024, el capitán y armador encubierto del Shtandart, Vladimir Martus, recibió la notificación oficial de que su buque tenía prohibida la entrada en todos los puertos españoles. Pocos días después, fue expulsado y vetado de las aguas territoriales españolas por sus infracciones, por orden del Director General de la Marina Mercante. Sin embargo, pronto ofrecerá cruceros ilegales desde y hacia Portugalete.

For the 2025 summer season, the Shtandart, a Russian propaganda ship under sanctions, has launched its commercial campaign for joining its tour of European ports. This time, it is no longer limited to France, Spain, or even the EU. This illustrates its skipper’s sense of impunity, the confidence he has in his networks of influence and the contempt in which he holds our institutions. This also shows that our countries will only be able to put an end to the fraud that has been going on for more than three years if they follow the Spanish example, i.e. by a concerted ban on their territorial waters.

It took two years for the French rule of law in to take action against the Shtandart scandal, which violates EU sanctions because of the power of Russian networks of influence. We owe this to the Spanish example, to a small handful of professional journalists and to a call to order from the European Council. Thanks to them, 2024 will have been the year of 14 great victories.
