Pamir has always been a remote and abandoned region of Upper Asia. Today, however, the people face rapid and shocking upheaval due to the terrorist threat, the Taliban irruption, Chinese expansion, and external interference from Pakistan in Afghanistan. This reinforces the need for a transnational vision. Therefore, the Pamir Institute is a think tank embracing all the Pamirs of Afghanistan, China, Pakistan and Tajikistan. The Pamir Institute does not advertise any commercial establishment. The Pamir Institute is not part of any government propaganda or political party.

Pamir Institute’s logo shows high mountains and a yak as an evidence of High Asia sphere of interest. Logo fonts are « Norwester » and « Montserrat Classic ».
Watermark
Pamir Institute’s watermark is very similar to the logo. Blue color was replaced by white color. The rest is transparent, except for some grey shadows on topof the mountains

The home page is divided into « News« , « Research Papers », « Other Publications » and « Resources ». This is based on one of the four categories attributed to each publication. Each chapter presents the last publications for each category.

The research field section is split according to publication tags, into different pages: « Geopolitics & crisis », « Childhood & education », « Women rights », « Environment & climate », « Sustainable development », » Heritage », « Community based tourism ».
The countries section is split into different pages according to the country attributed to each publication tag: Afghanistan, China, Pakistan and Tajikistan. Topics pertaining to different countries can be shown on several pages.
