Thank you for having spoken about our demonstration of December 11, 2022 and for having exposed the justifications that the municipality holds with regard to the illegal occupation of the port of La Rochelle by the Russian ship. Without knowing how, we imagined that the mayor and the prefect had solid arguments in their files. Discovering them, for the first time in the Sud Ouest newspaper, we were stunned. Our committee, #NoShtandartInEurope, didn’t expect so much. On both sides, they are in escheat and fiction, as for a European text, which is accessible, online, by all.

I regret not having seen the Twitter mention of Madame Camille Bluteau asking me to discuss before writing your paper, because, if the point of sanctions cannot be debated for those who have looked at the reference text, there is a lot to be said about the Shtandart tale, about the way it was staged and promoted as well as about the network that was working to impose such a narrative in the French public space.
